Beauty Trade Shows

As the beauty industry continues to develop and grow, companies have to find the perfect way to advertise themselves and their products and deliver them to the masses. The genius idea of a trade show was created and we therapists follow shows such as Olympia Beauty to seek the latest in news, training and products.

Not only are these shows perfect for companies big and small, but they are the only place that you will find over 350 names under one roof, see special offers, purchase the latest products and be able to interact with iconic figures in the industry. Attending trade shows keeps you one step ahead of your competitors. It also allows you to learn from top nail technicians at seminars for absolutely free most of the time. I have only ever attended Beauty UK on the 20 May 2013 when competing in the WorldSkills competition. However the trade show was fantastic! Walking around the show, I came across some familiar names, spoke to some fabulous people about the products on show and I even renewed my Scratch subscription.

This weekend, London holds the world renowned Olympia Beauty exhibition – and it’s set to be amazing! With brands such as CND releasing their new Intimate and Charmed collections and Nail Harmony UK launching All That Jazz, there will no doubt be a huge buzz. There are so many demonstrations and seminars from iconic nail techs to keep your mind busy in between buying new nail products, and Olympia Beauty also plays host to the ninth Nailympics London competition. Techs from all over the world can compete for titles in different categories. If you’re lucky enough to visit this year’s Olympia Beauty show, take the chance to go see a seminar, maybe with Sophie Harris-Greenslade or Gemma Lambert?

I would advise any therapist who’s wanting to stay on the ball in this industry to attend a trade show. Whether you’re a student, have recently qualified or have been a nail technician for years, the shows are the perfect way to learn from true icons. Keep an eye out for interesting seminars and the best deals for a successful day out. If you’re able to attend Olympia Beauty, register for your tickets before this Sunday (22 September). I will be attending Olympia this year and visitng the Scratch team on stand B35, so if anyone recognises me, don’t be afraid to stop and say hello!
